A LIFE WASTED CHASING TRAINS
There are a LOT of railroad images here, it is almost embarrassing. This started as a kind of dusty archive where I could store my digital images on the web. But it has grown well beyond my initial expectations. An image here, an image there...it adds up. I'm not really sure how to describe it now.
The title is totally whimsical, it was the title I used for a Winterail multi-media presentation a few years ago. One friend likens our interest in trains to fishing. When the boys go fishing, the purpose is not really to catch a bunch of fish, but to tell tall tales and drink whiskey. More or less the same with chasing trains. Except you end up with a bunch of train pix to do something with.
Visitors are welcome to browse. Hopefully it is organized in a way that will allow you to find a few specific images that are of interest. The oldest images go back to 1958.
A first time visitor might enjoy starting with the "Favorites" albums. The favorites are no longer really up to date as I have added more images, but you do get a sense for what lies beyond. If you find this site of interest, be prepared to visit more than once if you really want to see everything. Construction will continue as I add, delete and change images, add titles and captions, and so on. In particular the addition of images often runs ahead of any caption info. So I apologize in advance if I leave you hanging with an empty album or an image with no caption.
