The crews were very much part of our "family". It was hard work, but they usually had a good time right along with the rest of us. Fun is contageous. The kitchen was small but efficient. We usually had a cook and steward, but I cooked on several trips and really enjoyed it. I can remember one trip serving prime rib to 18 people out of this kitchen. But washing dishes was no fun.
